If I had a dollar for every time I started a diet and didn’t follow through….I’d have about a solid fifty bucks. Maybe more.
Seriously. Dieting is NOT my thing. It’s hard. It takes dedication. It takes discipline. It makes you uncomfortable.I like things that are fun, yummy, easy, fast. Like street tacos. Charbroiled burgers. And Milkshakes. But Diary, this year, as I am approaching my thirties, I feel I need to slow down on the fast food and junk I have been consuming these past 29 years. I am starting to get embarrassed and have to catch my own self whenever I say “I hate eating healthy” or “I hate working out.” It sounds pretty juvenile and ridiculous to actually admit that out loud.
I know my huz, who has been on the “Keto” diet for well over a year, rolls his eyes whenever I start making plans to be healthier because, let’s just say that he knows me all too well….HAI’m not saying that I will completely try and quit eating whatever I want cold turkey, buuuut, I will slow down and reprogram my mind to make more conscious and responsible decisions with what I consume and what my family does as well. One thing that I do enjoy that is healthy and tastes amazing is a “Green Smoothie.
“I love the sweet and tart taste of all the fruits combined with the greens. I even love the texture and crunchiness that the ice cubes add to it.
The best thing about it is that there are NO added sugars! You wanna know how good it is, Diary?? Well, lets just say, my KID’S request it…………… All. The. Freakin. Time! Stop by Diary, and I’ll pour you a glass so you can see for yourself! (And then we can cheers together and pretend that its actually a glass of Sangria and not kale and spinach juiced together with fruit. Hey, whatever works)….
